Role and responsibilities: 1. Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of press tools. 2. Inspect, repair, and reassemble stamping and forming tools. 3. Troubleshoot tool issues and ensure minimal machine downtime. 4. Maintain records of maintenance and spare inventory. 5. Participate in new tool design, development, and trials. 6. Supervise tool manufacturing and modifications as per specifications. 7. Optimize tool life and ease of maintenance. 8. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for tool development. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 2. Knowledge of press tools (progressive, compound, and blanking tools). 3. Ability to read tool drawings, GD&T, and part drawings. 4. Proficient in tool regrinding, fitting, assembly practices. 5. Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical press tool operations. 6. Knowledge of stamping process / Press machines / Tool mfg./ Heat treatment 7. Experience of handling different materials like copper alloys, brass, stainless steel, Aluminium etc. 8. Good Knowledge in conventional machines - lathe, milling, grinding etc. 9. Good knowledge in engineering material science. 10. Good Knowledge of Wire cut, Sinker EDM and CNC/VMC machines. 11. Good communication skill + knowledge on excel, word & PPT. Qualifications: BE/ Diploma (Mechanical, Tool & die making) -MSBTE, IGTR, IDTR, NTTF, GTTC.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Overall monitoring of process quality activities (Including first part approval, In process activities) Inspection Planning & Management Monitoring of inspection records and effectiveness of inspection Monitoring and timely review/ update the process documents (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, Inspection guidelines) Monitoring of daily rejections and conduct analysis Drive problem solving and implement corrective and preventive actions in shop Conduct PPM reduction activities through CFT/QRQC in Shop Monitoring of final and OBA inspection activities Effective decision making for part acceptance Conduct product & Process audits on shop Conduct analysis for customer complaints ( Through 8D format) Drive effective containment process for internal and external complaints. Monitoring team performance (Skill monitoring) Conduct operator / Inspector trainings to enhance the skill level Support part approval process (for NPD items) Conduct quality planning for NPD items : Fixing Inspection items, Gauges, instruments, Documents Drive overall improvement activities to reduce Quality cost. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED Education B.Tech : Mechanical Engineering Experience Min 5 years experience in manufacturing sector (Automotive / Non –Automotive ) Preferred background : Injection molding, Stamping process and Assembly process (connectors/ wiring harness) Experience of handling VMM / CMM & other measuring instruments.
