Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer with a strong background in Python, Java, and modern software development practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing scalable systems, as well as experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This role requires an individual with a strong ownership mindset, capable of taking initiative and delivering end-to-end solutions. Key Responsibilities : Lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale software systems in Python and Java. Own end-to-end product features, from initial design through to production, with a focus on high-quality, maintainable code. Architect scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions with a focus on performance and usability. Contribute to system design decisions, optimizing for scalability, availability, and performance. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of excellence. Integrate with CI/CD pipelines, continuously improving and optimizing them for faster and more reliable software releases. Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices in coding, testing, and design patterns. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments. Required Skills and Qualifications : 8+ years of professional software development experience. Expertise in Python and Java, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Hands-on experience with system design, architecture, and scaling of complex systems. Strong exposure to CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar). Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Proficient in database design and optimization, with experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases. Proven experience in Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions.
