Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Preparing structural steel design models using Revit Designing header steel for supporting Material Handling Equipment Preparing design calculations using RISA software and performing hand calculations for products and connections Preparing and coordinating Structural approval drawings Verify accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation required for the project Assisting with preparation of construction/installation drawings Presenting analysis/design results to Senior Engineer and Project engineering team Ensuring that design complies with building codes and standards Independently manage engineering design aspects of a project with minimal assistance or guidance Review contract documents to be familiar with project requirements Attend project meetings; may lead coordination/ BIM meetings Write and review requests for information (RFI) Resolve engineering design issues independently Assist others with resolving engineering design issues Lead and coordinate between Vanderlande project teams and different suppliers worldwide Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis (Masters degree preferred) Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in designing structures Strong understanding of engineering mechanics and design fundamentals Intermediate skills in RISA Structural Analysis software preferred Knowledge of steelwork manufacturing, installation process and quality Knowledge of costs related to design and execution of the steel structures Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) and Proficient in structural design software (RISA, Staad.Pro, etc.) Basic understanding of Material Handling Systems on a system level Knowledge of scope management and project planning Able to perform health and safety risk analysis on component and system level Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization where cooperating with others and being a team member is natural Strong communicator, able to effectively understand and set expectations for deliverables Able to handle time sensitive situations and quickly set the right priorities, while maintaining a firm grasp of the details Willingness to learn Proactive Ability to work autonomously or in a team Motivator and ability to work well with team members Ability to quickly assess a situation and take appropriate action Strong team mentality and willingness to accept responsibility for project completion (Ownership Culture) Must have the ability to properly prioritize work/activities Possess a strong ability to solve problems and research solutions Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills Desired Skills/Qualifications: Up to date knowledge/experience with: 1910/29 Occupational Safety and Health Standards Building Code (IBC) ACI 318 AISC Steel Construction Manual ASCE 7 Schedule: Ability to align schedule based EST United States time (preferred)

About the job: Key responsibilities: 1. Interpret architectural plans and convert them into line diagrams for structural framing of residential, industrial, or other structures. 2. Perform structural analysis and design using software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, Enercalc, and WOODWORKS. 3. Apply structural loads as per project requirements and relevant codes; design using or create spreadsheets based on applicable codes. 4. Follow and apply knowledge of Indian and American codes, including IBC. 5. Design RCC and steel structures; designing timber and load-bearing structures will be an added advantage. 6. Adapt to a fast-paced learning environment and deliver accurate drawings using AutoCAD or similar software, with quick turnarounds from markups. 7. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 2. Proficiency in design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, WOODWORKS, and AutoCAD. 3. Strong understanding of both Indian and American building codes (IBC). 4. Hands-on experience in designing RCC and steel structures; timber structure design experience is a plus. 5. Good command over MS Excel and ability to create or work with code-based design spreadsheets. 6. Ability to manage deadlines, adapt quickly to project needs, and work collaboratively. 7. Willingness to travel for site visits and stay flexible with working hours. 8. A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn new structural systems and tools.
