You are a proactive Windows Engineer (L2 level) with 2-3 years of hands-on experience supporting Windows infrastructure, web hosting, email services, and database servers. Your responsibilities include operational support, first-line remediation, patching, monitoring, and responding to incidents. In the role of a Windows Engineer, you will be responsible for web hosting and web server support. This involves setting up and troubleshooting IIS, Apache, Nginx, Plesk, and cPanel, as well as handling SSL installation, bug fixing, and extension support. Additionally, you will participate in patching, backups, basic DR setup, security issue resolution, and escalations coordination. You will also be involved in mail server administration, where you will configure and maintain Microsoft Exchange, MailEnable, and SmarterMail. Monitoring mail server health, performing patching, backups, and collaborating with the L3 team on escalated mail performance/security issues are key tasks in this area. Database support is another aspect of your role, requiring you to support and monitor Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL on Windows servers. You will be responsible for patching, backups, DR activities, troubleshooting connectivity and basic performance issues related to databases. General tasks include installing, maintaining, and monitoring Windows Server OS, possessing strong networking and system security fundamentals, coordinating with internal users, handling support tickets effectively, and being willing to work in a 24/7 rotational environment. To excel in this role, you need 2-3 years of relevant experience, good communication and documentation skills, the ability to follow escalation matrices, work under pressure, and be open to working night/weekend shifts if required.,
