As a Sr. Network Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and protection of network systems. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at safeguarding the system from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Some of the key responsibilities associated with this role include: - Planning, engineering, and monitoring security arrangements to protect network systems effectively. - Identifying, monitoring, and defining overall security requirements for the system. - Developing innovative solutions to address existing security threats and issues. - Configuring and deploying intrusion detection systems and firewalls. - Conducting thorough testing to identify weaknesses in software and hardware components. - Managing firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security. - Implementing virus and threat detection systems to enhance security measures. - Installing and configuring security infrastructure devices to ensure robust protection. - Investigating intrusion and hacking incidents, gathering incident responses, and conducting forensic investigations. - Keeping abreast of the latest technologies and processes to enhance system security. - Utilizing industry-standard analysis criteria to evaluate the security posture of the organization. - Documenting system vulnerabilities and tracking security-related information. - Reporting security analysis findings and monitoring results to relevant stakeholders. - Overseeing the configuration and installation of new software and hardware components. - Enforcing regulatory compliance measures in alignment with IT security standards. - Promptly notifying the company about any security incidents and taking necessary actions. - Updating system security protocols and architectures as needed. - Defining and upholding security policies to maintain a secure network environment. - Collaborating with the sales team to design solutions and provide support for demonstrations and Bill of Materials (BOM). - Understanding customer requirements and offering support in accordance with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) process. To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Possess a degree in network engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, or related IT fields. - Have proven work experience as a network security engineer or information security engineer. - Demonstrate expertise in creating and managing security systems. - Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the latest technologies, security principles, and protocols. - Proficiency in handling security systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, antivirus software, log management, and authentication systems. - Familiarity with web-related terminologies and software, including web applications, web protocols, service-oriented architectures, and web services. - Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and effectively communicate security incidents to senior management. - Skills in implementing and interpreting results from malicious code, mobile code, and antivirus software. - Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CEH, CISSP, GIAC Security Certifications, or other OEM certifications. - Willingness to obtain a security clearance. - Knowledge of computer forensic tools, data loss prevention methods, and disaster recovery strategies.
