Sr. DevOps Engineer - AWS & Datadog

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and deployment. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust observability using Datadog and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform. This role is critical to enhancing platform reliability and performance within an AWS environment. Project Duration: 6 months (initial). It may extend depending on performance or project needs. Work Hours: IST time zone with a minimum 2-hour overlap with the USA team (likely in the evening IST). Mandatory Skills: DevOps on AWS, Datadog, Terraform and General observability experience. Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps role. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services. Datadog experience is mandatory setup, configuration, and dashboards. Proven expertise with Terraform for infrastructure automation. Prior involvement in implementing or scaling observability solutions. Experience in high-availability environments and production deployments. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, QA, and product teams. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the infrastructure efforts for the Marketplace 2.0 launch. Design, implement, and manage observability solutions using Datadog. Build and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS using Terraform. Set up alerting and monitoring dashboards to ensure system health and performance. Work with engineering teams to integrate observability best practices. Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues. Contribute to DevOps strategy and improve CI/CD pipelines and processes. Document and enforce infrastructure standards and automation workflows.
