Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as adherence to company policies.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow, monitoring discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
Coordinate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
Implement and maintain accounting systems and internal controls.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends, accounting software, and regulatory changes.
