Specialist Software Engineering

Role Overview:

The Software Engineer specializing in Supply Chain Management will collaborate with the Product Owner for Site Planning to support implementations and global rollouts in production planning and scheduling. The candidate should have experience in site planning processes and consulting knowledge in tools such as SAP PP/DS, Kinaxis Maestro Enterprise Scheduling, OMP Site Planning, or similar ERP systems.

What will you do in this role:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to design and implement effective site planning strategies and processes that align with organizational objectives.
• Assist in the configuration and optimization of site planning applications, specifically SAP and Kinaxis Maestro, to fulfill business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement and configure reports based the planning data using various analytic tools like Power BI, SQL, Access.
• Translate business requirements into detailed software specifications, leveraging insights from supply chain trends and best practices.
• Facilitate the deployment of production planning and scheduling solutions across multiple sites worldwide, ensuring adherence to best practices and consistency.
• Guide and train end-users during deployment workshops on the Maestro solution, providing ongoing support throughout the testing phase to ensure effective integration with supply chain management practices.
• Lead training sessions and workshops for end-users to promote the effective adoption of new tools and processes, ensuring users are well-prepared to utilize the systems.
• Evaluate production planning data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Deliver continuous support and troubleshooting for site planning applications and processes, ensuring smooth operations and high user satisfaction.

What should you have:

• Bachelors or Masters in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or site planning roles.
• Proficiency in site planning applications such as SAP, Kinaxis Maestro, or any other ERP applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions and query in databases like Power BI, AWS S3 etc.
• Proven experience in applying supply chain concepts to Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Production Scheduling, and Constraint Management.
• Desired Python and JavaScript knowledge, particularly for data integration and orchestration to optimize workflows and enhance data processing efficiency.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and release management techniques.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze challenges effectively.
