The sourcing manager will report to the Managing Director in India and the Chief Supply Chain Officer based in the US. You will possess an excellent knowledge of sourcing practices and develop a good supply base in India for a smoother supply chain at economical costs. You will be responsible for identifying, selecting, and managing supplier relationships for assigned steel casting and forging commodities to ensure products and services are delivered to the required quality, cost, and delivery performance levels. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned commodities, you will ensure that all engineering, customer, security, and EHS requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include defining, developing, and communicating the ferrous casting and forging commodity strategy to drive a supply base committed to delivering 100% quality parts on time while making efforts to localize the parts and meet customer requirements. You will manage supplier relationships, review RFQ packages, analyze spreadsheets, identify potential suppliers, make recommendations on supplier selection and quality compliance, and conduct supplier negotiations to determine the most competitive total cost solutions. You will execute plans to meet customer commitments, drive continuous improvement projects, lead simplification in the overall supply chain process, and provide expertise to internal teams and other functions. You will review and confirm the accuracy of supplier quotes and address any inconsistent costs with suppliers before reporting out. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E, B. You will be a part of the Global Procurement team supporting the Tech Procurement area. Your responsibilities will include supporting and aligning with business initiatives, organization goals, and actions focused on sourcing projects. Additionally, you will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary. In this role, you will: - Lead negotiations by creating cost models of different contract variables, running scenarios, and executing defined negotiation strategies to ensure business needs are met. - Support in the development of sourcing and procurement strategy by working with the Category Team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and presenting information and findings to drive negotiation strategy development. - Participate in supplier selection, justify supplier selection, and create quantification and documentation of savings to support business goals. - Manage multiple project initiatives for supplier sourcing, ensuring timelines related to sourcing and contract goals are met, and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. - Prepare budgeting, spend analysis, review contracts, and provide vendor information to support vendor management. - Collaborate with suppliers to meet business requirements and applicable terms and conditions, drive decision-making, and provide clarifications on business requirements. - Provide vendor recommendations to senior team members to facilitate contract negotiations and maintain commercial confidentiality throughout the sourcing process.
