The Mom Store is offering an Internship Opportunity for the role of Merchandise & Sourcing Intern. As a motivated and enthusiastic intern, you will be responsible for enhancing the vendor base, evaluating their capabilities, and ensuring their production aligns with the company's standards. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and engaging new vendors, conducting visits to vendor facilities for assessment, communicating requirements and standards, monitoring quality control, and providing daily reports on production progress. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and nurturing relationships with vendors for future sourcing needs. To excel in this role, you should possess keen observation skills, effective interpersonal abilities, and strong negotiation capabilities. The position will require frequent travel to vendor production sites in Tirupur, Mumbai, Delhi, and other hubs. Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in fashion, textile, apparel production, or related fields are preferred. Proficiency in both Hindi and Tamil is mandatory due to the geographic distribution of vendors. This internship opportunity spans 3 months with a stipend of 15k per month, with the potential for future employment. The job type includes Fresher, Internship, and Contractual / Temporary designations. Benefits include a flexible schedule and provided food. The work schedule is during the day shift.
