Software Test Engineer- Automation

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer - Automation to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in web and mobile application automation testing, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset toward quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications. Analyze test results, troubleshoot test execution logs, identify trends, and suggest improvements. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables. Maintain and enhance the existing automation framework. Conduct regression testing and identify system malfunctions. Write clear and concise bug reports, and track issues through resolution. Required Skills Qualifications: 2-4 years of hands-on project experience in automation testing of web and mobile applications. Good understanding of STLC and Agile methodologies. Strong project exposure to test planning, test estimation and test reporting. Strong knowledge of test automation script development and troubleshooting using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress framework(s) using TDD and/or BDD approach. Strong experience with programming languages Java, JavaScript or Python. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Mocha. Good understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, and web debugging tools. Experience with version control systems like Git and with continuous integration using GitHub Actions or Jenkins. Exposure to test orchestration platforms like Lambdatest, Browserstack, etc. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Good to Have: Knowledge of performance testing or security testing. Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger and related automation. ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
