Software QA Engineer (Automation)

The role requires strong experience in both Automation Testing and Manual Testing, with proficiency in Python, Selenium, BDD, DB Queries, DevOps, Performance Testing, Agile methodologies, and Postgresql. As a QA Test Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding existing Automation Frameworks, preparing and executing tests in Agile and DevOps environments, and ensuring maximum automation coverage. You will collaborate with stakeholders to validate business requirements, develop test scripts, and test data to ensure thorough testing of business functionalities within agreed timelines. Additionally, you will be involved in the preparation, scripting, review, and update of test cases consistent with system requirements, including functional, integration, and regression testing. Embracing a Shift-left testing approach, you will proactively identify issues early and support quality assurance initiatives to institutionalize best practices within the team. The role provides an opportunity to leverage the latest technologies, participate in redesigning and enhancing applications, and contribute significantly to the team's success by being a problem solver and a team player. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in UI and API Automation using Selenium WebDriver and Request/Rest Assured, along with strong programming skills in Python. Knowledge of automation frameworks such as BDD Gherkin and Behave/Cucumber, Pytest is essential. Proficiency in writing DB queries (preferably in postgres/ Snowflake/ MySQL/ RDS), DevOps concepts with Git, Jenkins, and Performance Testing tools like Jmeter/Loadrunner/Gatling is required. Experience working with Agile methodologies, strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, collaboration, and accountability are key competencies for this role. Having Healthcare/Life Sciences domain experience and familiarity with Performance testing, security testing, and ETL testing would be advantageous. The role demands a professional approach with readiness to work flexible hours and collaborate effectively with the US team.
