Software Engineer in Test

As a valued member of Publicis Sapient, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent quality of Software Applications production by developing and enforcing a robust Automated Software QE strategy. Your expertise in automation testing will be pivotal in meeting the quick turnaround and increased test coverage requirements across projects. By collaborating with project, business, and QE teams, you will develop detailed automated scripts and test frameworks to enhance the overall system's effectiveness and efficiency for our clients. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing a functional and technical QE team, ensuring the success of manual and automation efforts in an agile working environment. You will be expected to estimate for low and medium complexity applications, guide a small team, and oversee defect management processes. Additionally, you will define automation test strategies, mentor team members, and maintain test coverage matrices. To excel in this role, you should have 4-9 years of experience with QE for distributed, highly scalable systems. Proficiency in OOPS concepts and strong programming skills in Java, Groovy, or JavaScript are essential. Hands-on experience with GUI-based test automation tools, SQL queries, and test automation frameworks is required. Your understanding of SOAP, REST principles, microservices architecture, and API testing tools will be valuable assets in designing and developing automation frameworks. Furthermore, your familiarity with BDD, TDD methodologies, and tools like Cucumber, TestNG, Junit will be beneficial. Experience with CI/CD, test pipeline creation, and domain knowledge in sectors like retail banking, automobile, insurance, etc., will be advantageous. Your ability to adapt to new technologies, communicate effectively, and make tough decisions under pressure will contribute to creating a positive and collaborative working environment.
