Software Engineer in Test

As a skilled Lead Test Automation Engineer at TELUS Digital, you will leverage your 8+ years of experience to set up, maintain, and execute test automation frameworks across various application platforms including Mobile, Desktop, and Web. Your role will require providing technical leadership and strategic direction to the team, in addition to overseeing team/project management responsibilities. You should possess a strong proficiency in scripting languages and tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, Core Java, Python, Groovy, and service virtualization. Your expertise should extend to API automation tools like SoapUI and Karate Framework. Experience in test automation, agile process development (DevOps, test data management, CI/CD/CT), and solid skills in developing and debugging automation scripts are essential for this role. In this position, you will be tasked with testing the most challenging features of the product, designing and developing utilities, and leading all test automation efforts within your area. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing script designs/components and code developed by other quality engineers while serving as a technical mentor to enhance their programming skills. The ability to identify gaps in the test framework, enhance test coverage, and collaborate effectively within Agile teams is crucial for success in this role. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for client interactions and internal team collaboration. You will be expected to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and provide subject matter expertise for all issues while ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
