Software Engineer

You will be joining a rapidly growing, private equity backed SaaS product company in the USA subsidiary, which is instrumental in supporting some of the world's most critical missions. Your primary responsibilities will include participating in video conferencing calls with the product team for requirements gathering and feature enhancement discussions. You will be tasked with building, maintaining, and enhancing our SaaS product. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in sprint planning by effectively decomposing epics and user stories into estimated tasks and subtasks, ensuring clear ownership. Your involvement in agile stand-ups and retrospectives will be essential for facilitating team productivity and satisfaction, proactively assisting colleagues in removing impediments, and continuously improving processes. Conducting code reviews and promoting a quality-centric team approach to development will also be part of your duties. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong desire to work on a modern full stack React/Node/Mongo application, coupled with over 5 years of hands-on experience that includes mentoring and managing team operations. Your expertise in JavaScript at a strong to expert level is crucial, as is your ability to oversee the entire software development life cycle from end to end. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English, are a must, along with a keen attention to detail and a meticulous work ethic. Having a good business acumen and understanding the balance between commercial value and development effort will be beneficial. Self-management skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to software quality and testing are also key attributes required for this role. Desirable qualifications include a robust knowledge of databases, both SQL and No-SQL based, as well as proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Experience with progressive web app development, encompassing install prompts, custom service workers, caching of static resources and requests, and offline capabilities, will be advantageous. The ideal candidate should hold a B.Tech/MCA degree with experience in modern full stack React/Node/Mongo application and at least 5 years of hands-on experience, including mentoring and team management.
