Software Engineer 1

As a Software Engineer at PowerSchool International, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for localizing the PowerSchool portfolio of products for various countries across the globe. Your primary focus will be on building framework components for Internationalization using Java. Working under the guidance of the Lead or Manager of Software Engineering, you will provide technical support and development for the K-12 software, implementing new features, maintaining existing ones, and ensuring high product quality and customer satisfaction through effective coding, testing, and documentation. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining localization features, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to identify requirements, writing clean and efficient code, conducting testing and debugging, implementing new features, and staying updated with the latest software development trends. You will also conduct code reviews, provide mentorship to junior team members, and contribute to improving software development processes and practices within an Agile SCRUM team environment. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of software development experience with a focus on localization, a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, advanced knowledge of web client technologies, proficiency in Java and PHP, and experience with database design, cloud platforms, and localization tools. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with software design principles, and adaptability to a changing environment are essential for this position.
