As a Computer Network Technician, you will be responsible for installing and configuring network hardware and software. This includes setting up routers, switches, firewalls, and servers, as well as installing and configuring network operating systems and utilities. Your role will also involve maintaining and monitoring network systems to ensure optimal operation, troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and performance issues, and implementing and maintaining network security measures such as firewalls and antivirus solutions to prevent unauthorized access and security threats. In this position, you will be required to diagnose and repair hardware, software, and other network and system problems, respond to network outages, and restore connectivity as needed. Additionally, you will provide technical support to end-users by resolving network-related issues, documenting support cases and solutions for future reference, and collaborating with IT teams including system administrators, software developers, and IT support staff. As a Computer Network Technician, you will also be responsible for managing network infrastructure by maintaining cabling, wireless access points, and other physical network components, as well as keeping network diagrams and documentation up to date. You will need to perform regular system backups and updates to ensure the security and integrity of network configurations and data, and stay current with technology trends by continually upgrading your knowledge of networking technologies and industry standards through training sessions, certifications, or workshops. This is a full-time position that requires you to work in person at the designated work location.
