We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchant with 7+ years of expertise in handling soft and hard goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end merchandising operations, supplier coordination, cost negotiations, and ensuring seamless product development and delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Product Development & Sourcing: o Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and finished goods. o Ensure timely sampling and approvals as per customer requirements. o Stay updated on market trends to introduce innovative product lines. • Costing & Negotiations: o Work closely with vendors to negotiate costings and optimize margins. o Analyse pricing structures to maintain competitive product pricing. • Order Management & Execution: o Oversee purchase orders, production timelines, and shipment schedules. o Ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. o Coordinate with factories and vendors to resolve production issues. • Client & Supplier Communication: o Act as a key liaison between clients and suppliers for product inquiries and updates. o Maintain strong relationships with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams. • Quality Control & Compliance: o Work closely with QA teams to ensure adherence to industry quality standards. o Ensure compliance with global regulations and client-specific requirements. Key Skills & Qualifications: • Strong negotiation skills and ability to optimize pricing. • Proficiency in working with overseas suppliers, factories, and buyers. • Hands-on experience with costings, order execution, and production planning. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of industry-specific compliance and quality standards. • Proficiency in MS Office.
