You are looking for a Mainframe Db2 DBA with 6-8 years of experience to join our team in Chennai, Pune, or Bangalore. As a Mainframe Application DBA / System Programmer, you will be responsible for maintaining the Mainframe Database architecture and concepts. You will work closely with vendors, application teams, and troubleshoot application issues. Your role will involve handling Mainframe Database offline & online Utilities, ISV tools like BMC and CA products, System Upgrades, Migration activities, SMP/e tools, and JCL concepts. Additionally, you will contribute to Performance monitoring, ITIL processes, and Disaster Recovery activities. Your must-have competencies include a strong understanding of Mainframe & Database Architecture, Mainframe Database concepts, JCL, and Performance monitoring tools. You should have experience in dealing with various vendors, application teams, and hold hands-on knowledge in Mainframe Database utilities. Being customer-facing, you should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies. Flexibility in shifts and strong communication skills are considered good-to-have qualities. Expectations from you include a stronghold on Application DBA and System Programmer activities, flexibility during crunch scenarios, and monthly on-call support during weekends. Your role will play a crucial part in maintaining the Mainframe Database systems and providing support as needed.,
