At our Centre For Research & Innovation @ Noida, our simulation team is dedicated to advancing the state-of-art in acoustic simulation and noise reduction. We're seeking a talented Acoustic Simulation Engineer to join our team and contribute to cutting -edge research projects. Job Location- Noida Qualification- M.Tech in Mechanical/Thermal/Related Engineering Fields (Preferably from Tier 1 Institutes like IITs, NITs, or reputed universities) Experience- 2 to 4 Years Key Responsibilities: Independently perform acoustic and CFD based aeroacoustics simulations (steady and transient) to predict noise in products such as fans, HVAC systems, home appliances etc. Apply hybrid CFD – CAA techniques like FW-H (FW-H analogy, Broadband noise models, or LES-based analysis) for accurate noise predictions. Analyze and interpret unsteady flow data to evaluate noise sources and identify design modifications for noise reduction. Collaborate with design and testing teams to correlate simulation results with experimental acoustic data (e.g. microphone arrays, anechoic/semi-anechoic chamber data, product-level sound measurements). Develop and implement noise control strategies, such as geometry optimization, passive/active damping, or surface treatments. Optimize product designs using CAE-based acoustic metrices like sound pressure level (SPL), sound power, loudness and tonality. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in simulation software such as Simcenter 3D . Proficiency in preprocessing tools such as UG NX . Ansys Fluent knowledge will be an added advantage. Familiarity with meshing techniques for CAA (e.g. hybrid meshes, overset grids). Desirable Skills: Strong understanding of acoustics and sound perception. Prior experience with experimental noise testing in acoustics chambers. Knowledge of broadband and tonal noise reduction strategies. Familiarity with Sound Quality Metrices (e.g. loudness, sharpness, tonality) Programming/scripting experience for workflow automation. Strong analytical and communication skills for result interpretation and design recommendations. Show more Show less
