We are looking for an experienced Siebel Administrator to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Siebel installation, configuration, and server management, particularly with Siebel versions IP17 and above (preferably IP20.6). You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management, performance, and stability of Siebel systems and will work closely with development teams to support the deployment of Siebel applications. Key Responsibilities: Siebel Installation & Configuration: Perform installation and configuration of Siebel components, particularly with the latest Siebel versions (IP17 and above). Siebel Server Management: Manage Siebel server components, including user creation, capacity planning, optimization, and monitoring. Code & Repository Migration: Oversee code migration, repository migration, and non-repository migration across various environments. Performance Tuning: Handle server performance tuning and manage critical server situations to ensure system stability. System Administration: Provide day-to-day administration for Siebel components, ensuring all systems run efficiently and securely. Server Maintenance: Maintain Siebel servers for all environments, perform regular patching activities, handle vulnerability defects, and monitor server resources (CPU, Memory, Disk space). Log Analysis & Issue Resolution: Analyze logs for component crashes, resolve workspace issues, and identify problems to maintain system integrity. Scripting & Automation: Automate tasks using Unix/Shell scripting, and utilize basic UNIX commands to work in a Linux OS environment. Environment Management: Responsible for server resource monitoring, job scheduling (JOBs/RCRs/Tasks), and ensuring seamless deployment for production and lower environments. SSL & Security Management: Apply SSL certificates and manage user accounts to maintain system security. Collaboration: Collaborate with business teams and developers to ensure Siebel systems run optimally and efficiently. Primary Skills: Extensive experience with Siebel Installation and configuration for versions IP17 and above (preferably IP20.6). Strong knowledge in Siebel Server Management, user creation, capacity planning, and optimization. Deep understanding of Siebel Architecture and Siebel Data Model for IP17+ versions. Experience in Code Migration, Repository Migration, and Non-Repository Migration. Familiarity with Linux commands, Unix Shell Scripting, and PLSQL. Hands-on experience with performance tuning, server monitoring, and troubleshooting critical server issues. Strong knowledge of FTP, EMS system, and applying SSL certificates. Siebel System Maintenance for all environments (including regular patching, vulnerability management, and resource monitoring). Log Analysis and experience in handling component crashes. Unix/Shell Scripting for task automation and management. Required Qualifications & Experience: 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Siebel Administration. Strong experience working with Siebel IP17 and above (preferably IP20.6). Solid understanding of Siebel Server Management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of Linux OS, Unix commands, Shell scripting, and PLSQL. Experience with FTP, EMS, and SSL certificate management. Ability to work under pressure and handle critical server situations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Prior experience with regular patching activities, vulnerability management, and server maintenance. You will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our Siebel CRM system, focusing on development, implementation, and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of Siebel architecture, development tools, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Development & Customization: Develop and customize Siebel applications using Siebel Tools, eScript/VB scripting, Business Services, and Workflow. Integration: Design and implement integrations between Siebel CRM and other enterprise systems using Siebel EIM and data mapping techniques. Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Siebel applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolution. Enhancements & Upgrades: Participate in the analysis, design, and development of enhancements and upgrades to the Siebel CRM system. Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of developed components to ensure quality and adherence to requirements. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for Siebel customizations and integrations. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to deliver effective solutions. Server Management (Preferred): Experience with managing Siebel CRM servers (Web, DB, Gateway, etc.) is a plus. Adherence to Standards: Follow established development methodologies and coding standards. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Siebel CRM development and customization. Strong proficiency in Siebel Tools, eScript or Siebel VB, Business Services, and Workflow. Expertise in Siebel EIM, data mapping, and integration methodologies. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming. Solid understanding of Siebel architecture and best practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
