Shift Engineer

About the Role

• To perform supervision duties for mechanical maintenance jobs execution during shift activities to be performed through contractual manpower.
• To be adherent for safety execution during all the jobs i.e. he must be competent for preparing work permits & LOTOTO.
• To perform inspections for Plate Mill mechanical equipment and fluid systems and to make report for abnormalities or general observations during plant operation through daily log books / electronic reports.
• To perform inspections for Plate Mill mechanical equipment and fluid systems during plant shut downs and make report for abnormalities / observations during plant operation through daily log books / electronic reports.
• To perform supervisions & timely execution of breakdown jobs at Plate Mill.
• Also constantly improve upon equipment / fluid system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for inspection of Plate mill hot area equipment & Grease Oil system and report.
• Daily inspection and recording the same with Daily Logbook / check lists.
• Timely execution of shut down / break down maintenance jobs assigned to him.
• To execute the mentioned activities within the stipulated time and as per the time sheets and to spell out for any delay or any requirement if deviating the same.
• Accountable for the safety norms required for carrying out shut down / break down jobs at Plate Mill.
• To deliver the safety toolbox talk to contractual associates for the related jobs and to keep the record of the same.
• To prepare work permit to execute various shut down / break down jobs at Plate Mill.
• To have the knowledge of 5 S.
• To supervise and execute the good housekeeping practices in hot area Plate Mill.
