Discussion with Engineering team regarding color development for new existing models. Knowledge of paint properties, defects and their occurrences, countermeasures. Knowledge of paint application methods in automobile OEM. Knowledge of paint testing methods as per standards. Co-ordination with internal teams for production trials and shade stabilization. Supplier development and handling, team management and lab activities. Co-ordination with Supply chain for material procurement. Knowledge of safety in Paint Shops, risk identification and mitigation. Analysis of the paint process, paint quality improvement, defects monitoring and equipment focusing on the paint finish. Management of the team to achieve the organizational targets. Discussion with the customers (Paint shops) for their concerns and feedback.
