Job Description

As a Software Engineer on the team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Cisco NFVIS product, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to provide customers with innovative solutions. NFVIS, based on Linux KVM technologies, allows for efficient management of Virtual Machines and Container lifecycles on Cisco custom hardware and provisioning through Cisco SD-WAN orchestrator or NFVIS-GUI. Your role will involve owning the CI/CD process, automating features, managing release collaterals, and ensuring secure image posting. You will engage in a high-touch model to support key customer accounts through the adoption cycle. In this dynamic and agile environment, you will collaborate with a diverse team of skilled professionals to develop elegant and scalable solutions using modern methodologies and open-source tools. Whether it's implementing new features or fixing bugs, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow your skills while contributing to real customer needs. Your expertise in Linux, Kernel, virtualization technologies, Python, YANG, NetConf/REST API implementations, and object-oriented programming languages will be essential to drive innovation and success in this role. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will participate in designing and developing new features, defining software/system architecture, writing specification documents, creating unit test plans, and estimating project schedules. Your background in build processes, scripting, and Python automation will be beneficial, as you contribute to automation using CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
