Senior Test Manager & Engineer

As a Test Manager at Avaloq, you will play a crucial role in our newly formed Testing organization within the Project Delivery team under Product & Technology. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee, execute, and report End-to-End (E2E) testing to uphold the quality of project deliveries. Your key mission involves collaborating with Project managers and key stakeholders to estimate and plan project tests effectively. You will work closely with various product teams to design E2E testing strategies for projects. Additionally, your tasks will include writing test cases, preparing test data, executing test cases, and analyzing results to pinpoint defects. You will coordinate with relevant teams to set up testing environments and report test results and defects with Quality RAG to Project Managers and key stakeholders. Tracking defect fixes and ensuring coordination will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in Testing, focusing on E2E functional testing (manual) and test coordination. Your expertise should cover Functional areas such as Core Banking, Digital Banking (e.g. W&M), and Technical tools like Zephyr and JIRA. Possessing certifications like ISTQB or CSTE is preferred. Experience in Agile environments, excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, strong communication skills in English, and a diligent work methodology are essential. You should also exhibit great collaboration and team spirit. Having a background in Banking business understanding, working experience with Avaloq projects/products, and familiarity with automation scripting and tools (e.g., Test Master, Cypress, Appium) would be advantageous.
