Role Overview
The Digital Labs Organization is looking for an experienced Lab Execution System- Solution Architect to lead the strategic design, implementation, and sustainment of our cloud-based Laboratory Execution System (LES). The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, API management, and integration strategies to ensure the seamless and secure flow of data between systems. This role involves working with various stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs and regulatory requirements.
What will you do in this role:
- Digital Architecture: Drive the technical implementation and sustainment of the LES system to create robust, user-friendly, and compliant digital architecture and related processes such as backup, archival, access, change control, and licensing.
- Manage and Support Integrations: Handle API calls related to the LES system, authentications, automatic user creation, and firewall rules.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, integrations, and relevant standard operating procedures.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.
Additionally, Collaborate with information security, business, and IT stakeholders to implement information access policies and rules of use, explaining complex issues and building alignment around them.
- Configure LES modules based on business requirements and best practices.
- Develop test plans, execute testing scenarios, and validate solutions to ensure they meet business and functional requirements.
- Provide training to end-users and create user manuals or documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Identify and resolve functional issues, providing ongoing support to users and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Stay current with GLIMS & LES best practices and emerging trends, making recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
- Define, monitor, and manage Service level Agreements (SLAs) to align with business objectives.
What Should you have:
- Bachelor s degree in information technology, Life science or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years hands on experience and in-depth knowledge of LIMS or Lab execution system.
- Experience with API-related standards, tools, and technologies - HTTP, OAuth 2.0 etc.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Proficient with at least one programming language.
- Knowledge of information architecture frameworks, processes, and technology to address critical data challenges and future needs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with system documentation and SDLC processes
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into LES solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills with familiarity with agile tools like JIRA, Confluence.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with IT delivery with larger teams in large scale LES implementation project .
- Familiarity in Laboratory testing processes, preferably Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences.
- Experience with automated testing tools like TOSCA.
- CI/CD experience
- Experience with laboratory system like Biovia One Lab, Labware LIMS
