About the role : The Senior Manager GST is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance within the organization. This role involves ensuring that the company complies with GST laws and regulations, managing GST filings, providing guidance on GST matters, and staying up-to-date with changes in GST laws. The GST Manager collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and assists in implementing tax-efficient strategies. Responsibilities: Conceptually Strong experience on GST (Goods & Services Tax) and Indirect Taxes . Hands on approach for advicing internal stakeholders/management & Support teams on day to day and urgent GST Matters. Advice, support and review of statutory matters related to GST including preparation & filing of the GST returns . Filing of GST Returns GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GST Annual Return. Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders and update management on changes in GST law provision. Through Reconciliation activity of GSTR-2A/2B with books of accounts and GSTR 3B. Assist and lead in development of vehicle tracking/ GST related Zoho reports/ other reports automation. Ability to understand changes in GST Laws and making sure to prepare necessary documentation for development of the required changes in Accounting/product. Handling issues related to vehicle detention and filing of reply/ payment of taxes in Temporary ID and file appeal with GST Authorities. Prepare and review Standard Operating procedures (SOP) on GST related processes. Attended to GST Summons/Notices Drafting replies, appeals, briefing counsels & senior counsel, Knowledge of case laws with a relevant legal framework, a good understanding of regulatory updates, good drafting skills (most critical), ability to research Indirect Tax / GST databases . Pre-empt any issues in GST and take corrective action to avoid any such GST related non compliances. Monitor and enforce vendor/supplier related GST compliance and release of GST on filing of GST Returns. Coordinating with Internal and Statutory Auditors for GST Return related matters. Coordinating with the Billing/seller invoice team for Invoice related issues and clear the issues for smooth activity. Ensure delegation and coordination among teams to achieve desired results. Guide, direct and motivate team members and team building. Ensure timely closure of month-end activities including schedules for taxes payable / receivable. Qualifications & Requirements Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong experience in Indirect Tax Litigation. A qualified LLB is an added advantage. Proficient in drafting legal documents, with the ability to communicate assertively and present/defend viewpoints with confidence. In-depth knowledge of GST laws, E-Way Bills, and E-Invoicing. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Preference will be given to candidates from the manufacturing industry . Note: The budget for this role is 18 - 20 LPA .
