Senior Instrumentation Designer

You are a Senior Instrumentation Designer with 6 to 10 years of experience, specializing in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), AutoCAD, and MicroStation. You will be involved in supporting the detailed design and engineering of offshore oil & gas projects in locations such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai within the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in offshore projects. Your primary responsibilities will include developing 3D models of instrumentation systems using SP3D, designing cable trays, junction boxes, instrument panels, and field instrument layouts for offshore facilities. You will ensure proper integration of instrumentation systems with other disciplines such as piping, mechanical, and electrical. Additionally, you will generate instrumentation layout drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and hook-up drawings using SP3D, along with developing cable routing and tray layouts in coordination with electrical and structural teams. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams, project managers, and offshore site personnel to ensure design feasibility and compliance. This will involve working with vendors, contractors, and procurement teams to ensure correct instrumentation specifications and BOM. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to international standards for offshore instrumentation, applying company and client HSE policies, and providing technical support during fabrication, construction, and commissioning of offshore projects. To excel in this role, you should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Technical skills required include proficiency in SP3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other instrumentation design tools, along with strong knowledge of instrumentation loop diagrams, control systems, DCS/PLC interfaces, and field instruments. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team will be essential. Previous experience in offshore platforms, FPSOs, LNG facilities, or subsea projects, as well as knowledge of AVEVA Instrumentation, INtools (SPI), or Hexagon tools, will be advantageous.,
