Senior HVAC Estimator

AASNAA Engineers PVT LTD is currently seeking an HVAC Estimator to join our Estimation Department as an integral part of our team with an opportunity to work with talented staff, and to be a part of one of the fastest-growing and most critical segments at AASNAA.

The need is for an HVAC Estimator to evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that all items required are completed in the field of ductwork/piping/ ATC design in regards to HVAC systems. As such, this person will work closely with project engineers, a multi-discipline design team, and a project manager and will be responsible for supporting the estimation and production of Process Equipment, Piping, and HVAC construction documents.

This person must be proficient in understanding how to read all versions of CAD drawings and plans, should possess strong communication and coordination skills, and should be self-motivated and detail-oriented, with an initiative to deliver innovative designs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cost estimating for all sorts of HVAC/R systems
• Works closely with Operations to determine budgeting and strategic goals for estimating activities and business development opportunities
• Interfaces with Project Managers to ensure that projects are delivered per estimates and consistently refining the estimating formulas
• Keep an accurate database of prospective projects
• Preparing Bids and processing accordingly
• Assist as needed in other Estimating Department activities
• Communicate with vendors or subcontractors; and determining cost-effective solutions.
• Ensures that we have the proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day.
• Aggressively follows-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received.
• Ensures all bids are priced correctly by subcontractors and vendors i.e. Tax Exempt.
• Confirm pricing received reflects the correct scope of work.
• Submits bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
• Review blueprints and accurately delineate the scope of work required for the project.
• Consistently follows up on submitted bids and budgets with GC to close business.
• Perform all Bid walkthrough
• Negotiate Change Orders
• Create a summary of the project
• Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.

Requirements:

• Min 5 years of experience with HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler estimating
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical engineering
• Proven project estimating success
• Ability to collaborate across functions to manage cost and price factors that influence customer acquisition, retention, and revenue
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques
• Knowledge of estimating software programs and EXCEL
• Professional, ethical, and a team player willing to grow with the company
