Role & responsibilities Service & Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on various types of forklifts and material handling equipment. Conduct inspections, identify faults, and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and manuals to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions. Resolve complex technical issues efficiently to minimize equipment downtime. Team Management: Supervise, guide, and train a team of service engineers and technicians. Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to service timelines and quality standards. Customer Support: Conduct on-site visits for service support, equipment checks, and emergency repairs. Act as the technical point of contact for key customers, ensuring high satisfaction levels. Travel & Field Work: Travel to customer sites as required for service, installation, or maintenance jobs across regions. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Promote and enforce the use of PPE and safe working practices in the field. Preferred candidate profile Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the service, repair, and maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment . Prior experience in handling multiple brands or working with an authorized service center is highly desirable. Technical Background: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering . Candidates with OEM certifications in forklift servicing will be given preference. Specialized Knowledge: Strong understanding of forklift systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, motors, and control systems . Experience with both IC (internal combustion) and electric forklifts is a plus. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of technicians or junior engineers. Strong track record in mentoring, performance management, and team coordination. Customer-Facing Experience: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, conduct on-site service visits, and build long-term customer relationships. Mobility: Willing to travel regularly for on-site service calls, installations, audits, and breakdown support across regions. .
