Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, support, and enhance legacy Java applications.

• Analyze existing codebase to identify improvements, refactor inefficient code, and troubleshoot production issues.

• Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and other developers to ensure system reliability and performance.

• Develop new features in alignment with business requirements using Core Java.

• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers when needed.

• Ensure code quality, documentation, and adherence to established coding standards.

Experience: Core Java Developer with 8-10 years of experience in legacy/older Java technologies:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience in Java development, particularly with Core Java (JDK 6/7/8).

• Strong knowledge of multithreading, collections, exception handling, and file I/O.

• Experience with legacy frameworks (e.g., Struts, JSP/Servlets, JDBC).

• Solid understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with legacy build tools like Ant or early versions of Maven.

• Experience working in enterprise environments with older infrastructure.

Preferred:

• Exposure to mainframe integrations or older database systems (e.g., Oracle 10g, DB2).

• Experience in application migration or modernization projects is a plus.
