Security Architect

In your role, you will develop practical and versatile security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes for the application and solution landscape in our public cloud environment. You will review, advise on, and approve security concepts for a variety of digital solutions across Swiss Re's IT landscape. Building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers inside Swiss Re's architecture teams, you will drive long-term cloud adoption within their core and functional IT departments. It is essential for you to ensure that the business domain architecture aligns with group security requirements and provide feedback on domain-specific requirements to the Security Team. Overseeing and assuring that security requirements are established and implemented during application development and adhered to throughout the application life cycle is a key aspect of your role. Furthermore, you will advance technical and organizational security competencies and adapt to emerging security trends, such as leading proof of concepts. Your belief in continuous innovation, curiosity, and relentless pursuit of finding better ways every day will be essential in this role. The Security Team at Swiss Re serves as the focal point for all security activities across the organization. Responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance, the team defines and progresses the company's security strategy. As a part of the Security Team, the Security Advisors Centre of Expertise plays a crucial role in shaping the security of Swiss Re's application landscape and providing security-related advice on any IT project within the company. We are seeking a senior expert familiar with security concepts and architectures to join our team. The following qualifications are desired: - Passion, drive, and belief in the value of proper security architecture as a business performance enabler - Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods, with a willingness to explore new areas - Proactive attitude towards challenges and a track record of producing tangible results - Deep expertise in several cybersecurity areas, including cloud security architecture and patterns, cloud-native development and security controls, automated security processes on cloud platforms, cyber threats and mitigations on cloud platforms, security frameworks like CIS Benchmark and Mitre ATT&CK, Microsoft Workplace and Office products in enterprise-grade configurations, familiarity with security standards in regulated environments, existing application and service development, agile application development processes, and the ability to lead sophisticated conversations across multiple partners - Excellent communication skills, fluency in English (spoken and written) - Nice-to-have qualifications: Microsoft, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC, or similar certifications About Swiss Re: Swiss Re is a global leader in reinsurance, insurance, and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, dedicated to making the world more resilient.
