Job Description

  • IR & Union Engagement

    • Liaise with trade unions and employee representatives.

    • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, mediations, and dispute resolution.

  • Contract Labour Management

    • Manage contractor agreements, licensing (CLRA), registration, and annual renewals.

    • Ensure compliance: wages, PF/ESI, attendance, medicals, PPE, safety.

    • Audit contractors registers, wage payments, benefits, and statutory filings.

    • Contract Labour Payroll.

  • Employee Welfare & Safety

    • Ensure welfare facilities: canteen, restrooms, drinking water, first-aid, and creches per Factories Act/CLRA

    • Monitor health and safety: PPE, hygiene audits, occupational safety systems (OSH Code 2020)

    • Oversee medical examinations, safety training, emergency preparedness, and ensure statutory safety protocols.

  • Compliance & Liaison

    • Maintain compliance with IR & labour laws (Factories Act, CLRA, IR, Boiler Act, OSH Code, etc.).

    • Liaise with PF, ESI authorities, labor inspectors, and legal counsel.

  • Reporting & Analytics

    • Prepare dashboards on IR metrics, grievances, contract labour deployment, welfare & safety audits.

    • Use audits to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Success Indicators

  • Harmonious IR climate with timely grievance resolution.

  • Zero non-compliances in contract labour, welfare, and safety audits.

  • Well-maintained welfare facilities, effective safety programs, and statutory health/safety compliance.
