Job Title: Security Lead Department: IT Location: Navi Reporting To: Global IT Infra Lead Role Overview The Security Lead is responsible for managing security incident response and readiness within a 24x7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), supporting IT Infrastructure and Operations. The role includes overseeing vulnerability management, operating security tools, and ensuring rapid threat identification and remediation. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate security incident response and lifecycle management of on-premises and cloud-based security solutions. Manage and respond to security incidents and operational requests, ensuring swift identification, containment, and remediation. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, prioritize remediation, and collaborate with IT teams for patching and updates. Operate and monitor security tools (HIDS, NIDS, IPS, SIEM, etc.) to identify and address threats and vulnerabilities. Analyze security events, determine root causes, and recommend mitigation actions. Support audits, compliance reviews, and participate in industry forums. Monitor and communicate relevant security trends and developments. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or related field. Minimum 10 years of relevant cyber security experience. Strong knowledge of IT operations (cloud, systems, infrastructure) and security assessment (audit, VAPT, pen testing). Hands-on experience with security products (EDR, WAF, DLP, SIEM, SOAR). Familiarity with frameworks such as ITIL, ISO, PCI-DSS, NIST. Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH) preferred. Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
