Required Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with VSAT platforms such as iDirect, Comtech, Gilat, Newtec, or similar technologies. Satellite RF communication systems. IP networking protocols, including TCP, UDP, RTP, routing, and switching. dvanced understanding of QoS and WAN optimization strategies, including techniques like TCP acceleration, caching, and compression. Familiarity with Unix-based system environments. Experience with Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite systems is considered an added advantage.

Role & responsibilities Installation and Commissioning Install, align, and commission VSAT antennas and related equipment at client sites. Configure modems, routers, and power supplies for optimal performance. System Monitoring and Maintenance Monitor VSAT networks to ensure continuous connectivity and performance. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve hardware or signal issues. Technical Support Provide on-site and remote support for clients experiencing connectivity issues. Coordinate with Network Operations Center (NOC) for escalated technical problems. Testing and Troubleshooting Use test equipment to assess signal strength, latency, and system performance. Diagnose and fix faults in RF components, cabling, and satellite modems. Documentation and Reporting Maintain records of installations, maintenance activities, and system upgrades. Prepare reports for clients and internal teams. Compliance and Safety Ensure installations meet industry standards and safety regulations. Follow company protocols and satellite provider requirements. Client Training and Interaction Train end-users on basic system operation and troubleshooting. Communicate technical issues clearly and professionally to non-technical clients. Preferred candidate profile A motivated and eager learner with a basic understanding of satellite communication and networking principles. Interested in gaining hands-on experience in VSAT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Quick to adapt, with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. Able to work well in teams and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Committed to learning industry best practices and safety standards. Mentor the new team members on design and development of RF product design Required Skills Education/ Knowledge: BE/BTech with specialization in Electronics & Communications Engineering Min 10 years of experience in RF Microwave board design and development Critical experience: Experience with RF Microwave design for aerospace & defense applications Handson with LNA and RF PA design and functional testing RF link loss analysis for transceivers and RADAR applications Experience with ADS or Microwave Office, Cadence, Sonnet and HFSS software applications Familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, logic analyzers, signal/spectrum analyzers, etc. Familiarity with EMI/EMC requirements, qualification processes and electronics documentation Knowledge of RF module applications such as RADAR, Satcom, C5ISER, EW Familiarity with optical transceivers will be an added advantage COMPETENCIES Technical capabilitiesExpert functional/domain knowledge Strong Technical Aptitude with Willingness to learn new Technologies quickly.
