ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Solutions Engineer is the technical point of contact for a Maritime Global Sales team S/he is a key member of the Solutions Engineering Team, providing guidance and planning in aspects of defining, developing, and improving solutions for customers service requirements using the full suite of SES products and services The incumbent will be responsible for solution design and technical support which impacts the performance of SES, Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas Support the Maritime Business Segment to ensure technical solutions are presented clearly and address commercial considerations; Support technical solution design and prepare technical proposals in support of sales requests with a detailed understanding of the customers service requirements; Provide management of equipment bill of materials in the CRM system in support of sales requests; Generate GEO link budgets and lineups to support activation of Maritime SCPC and platform based services; Perform engineering analysis of RF performance to determine how new and existing services can be optimized; Perform engineering analysis of global GEO platform performance to determine platform optimization opportunities; Support operational events, contingency planning and regulatory considerations; Challenge legacy processes based on assimilated data and present alternate efficient options; Develop and provide training to customers both internal and external on SES services and products; Track and understand new satellite access schemes, earth station antenna design, and wireless network technologies; Maintain organization ethics and morals and always adheres to the SES Codes of Conduct; Other ad-hoc duties or projects, as required by Solutions Engineering Management; COMPETENCIES Excellent interpersonal, presentation and sales proposal skills Good Negotiation & Communication skills to include excellent presentation skills; Proven Customer Relation skills; Market intelligence & technology development awareness; Regional and/or segment knowledge: Specific knowledge related to region/segment; Analysis knowledge: Ability to optimize technical solutions for specialized region/segment, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering / Communications / Computer Science; Minimum 5 years of relevant Solution Engineering experience in Maritime, Energy, Commercial Shipping markets; Theoretical and practical experience with antenna design and optimization; Knowledge of satellite transmission analysis and optimization; Knowledge of satellite access technologies and earth station components; Knowledge of English is essential, Willing to travel internationally and meet directly with clients; Ability to work effectively in a global high energy multicultural team Knowledge of IP networking to include Cloud based solutions Other Key Requirements / Comments Embark on a career with us, where diversity isn't just a buzzword it's our driving force We are crafting a workplace mosaic that values every hue, background, and perspective Join a global team where inclusivity sparks innovation, and individuality is not only embraced but celebrated At SES we are committed to hiring inspiring individuals from all backgrounds We take great pride in creating safe and inclusive processes and we support the recruitment, retention, and evolution of all employees irrespective of gender, colour, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, veteran or marital status, background or walk in life,

Responsibilities: Your role as Order Entry - Trainee will encompass: Review orders for completeness and accuracy Enter and process orders and change orders in company ERP systems with a high degree of accuracy Work with inside Sales Application Engineers on technical and pricing issues Respond to Manufacturing questions and requests for order changes and system updates Coordinate new orders with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Credit and Manufacturing departments including:o Identifying special orders to Engineering and Sales to make sure proper equipment is supplied to the customero Research information, specified drawings, missing and incorrect data on new orders and change orders Interpret and clarify order write-ups and specifications for drafting personnel Input data in drive requisition program to get v-belt drives ordered Act, Live, and Behave by TCF Core Values. Other duties as assigned Requirements and Skills: Minimum Two years experience in technical support to sales and/or engineering or equivalent will be an added advantage Good mechanical and mathematical aptitudes Detail oriented, capable of following complex procedures which require use of multiple systems and tracking pending items for timely follow-up and completion Knowledge of manufacturing EPR systems a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in standard office software programs and equipmentAbility to work as a part of a team Exceptional active listening skills Flexibility and adaptability to changes in the workplace.
