Role Objective:

To drive revenue by identifying new customers, managing existing accounts, coordinating with dispatch and billing teams, ensuring collections, and maintaining strong relationships with project engineers, site heads, and contractors across Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and approach new construction sites, developers, infra contractors, and PWD/government works for RMC, blocks, or sand supply.
  • Build and maintain a project pipeline with key site contacts and expected start dates.
  • Cold-call, visit, and pitch the companys offerings with rate quotations and technical comparisons.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular follow-ups with existing clients and project engineers to ensure repeat orders.
  • Resolve complaints related to delivery, quality, or billing by coordinating with plant, QC, and accounts teams.
  • Build loyalty with site-level influencers such as site engineers, purchase heads, and project managers.

3. Order Booking & Coordination

  • Raise indents with dispatch team or plant managers after confirming customer orders.
  • Ensure customer POs (Purchase Orders) are received and documented before delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery schedule based on customer urgency and plant capacity.

4. Payment Follow-up & Credit Control

  • Track outstanding payments and follow up for collection within committed credit terms.
  • Escalate high-value or overdue accounts to Accounts Manager.
  • Update customer ledger remarks in coordination with accounts team.

5. Site Visits & Market Feedback

  • Regularly visit customer sites to inspect product satisfaction and collect feedback.
  • Identify competitor activity—rates, service levels, and customer shifting trends.
  • Report site closures, expansions, and upcoming projects for future targeting.

6. Reporting & MIS

  • Submit daily reports via WhatsApp/ERP/email covering:
    • Site visits
    • Customer feedback
    • Order bookings
    • Payment updates
  • Weekly review with Sales Manager on targets vs. achievement.

Performance Metrics:

  • Monthly Sales Targets (in and volume)
  • New Sites Converted
  • Payment Collection % (vs target)
  • Customer Retention Rate
  • Average Sales Cycle Time (lead to order)

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Basic technical understanding of concrete, blocks, and construction
  • Proficiency in WhatsApp, Excel, and field reporting
  • Ability to work independently and meet aggressive targets

Preferred Profile:

  • Qualification: B.E. Civil / MBA
  • Experience: 1–5 years in B2B sales (preferably in construction, RMC, building materials)
  • Language: Fluent in Kannada, English, and Hindi
  • Two-wheeler mandatory; travel allowance/fuel reimbursed
