Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring Compliance: Safety officers ensure that the workplace adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations, both local and national. This includes understanding and implementing standards set by organizations like OSHA in the US.
• Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of safety principles, hazard identification techniques (like HAZOP, QRA, HIRA, JSA), and relevant regulations.
• A safety officer facing a Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS) audit should be prepared to demonstrate their knowledge and implementation of safety procedures, risk assessments, and compliance with regulations. The audit will assess the effectiveness of the organization's contractor safety program.
• Specific Responsibilities of a Safety Officer in a CSMS Audit:
• Conducting regular inspections and audits of contractor work sites.
• Providing safety training and guidance to contractors.
• Investigating incidents and near misses involving contractors.
• Enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Monitoring contractor performance and addressing any safety concerns.
• Ensuring proper documentation of all safety-related activities.
• Participating in the development and implementation of the CSMS.
• Working with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to contractor safety.

Pay: ₹13,397.41 - ₹42,092.91 per month
