We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Network Administrator to contribute significantly to maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure. Collaborating closely with our Lead Network Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring seamless connectivity, robust security, and efficient network operations. As a Mid-Level Network Administrator, your responsibilities will include efficiently handling network support tickets, conducting initial troubleshooting, and promptly resolving network incidents. You will also be tasked with providing clear and concise technical guidance to internal teams, explaining network infrastructure usage and best practices. Additionally, you will execute routine network maintenance tasks, such as system upgrades, security patching, and configuration updates, with the aim of minimizing disruptions. Monitoring network performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal availability and reliability will be crucial aspects of your role. Furthermore, you will be expected to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge transfer. Your involvement in assisting in the development and implementation of configuration and change management policies will ensure that all network changes are properly reviewed, approved, documented, and executed. Collaboration with the security team to provide valuable network insights and contribute to the development and enhancement of security policies and procedures will also be part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, a strong understanding of IP protocols, static and dynamic routing principles, familiarity with cloud networking concepts, and a solid grasp of the OSI model. Proven experience in troubleshooting WAN/LAN/WLAN/VPN issues, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies are essential requirements. Experience with routing, switching, firewall policies, and VPN configurations (site-to-site and client-based) is also desired. Preferred qualifications include experience managing interconnected Meraki deployments through the Meraki dashboard and API, familiarity with AWS multi-account networking concepts, proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, and experience with AWS tools and services.
