Role & responsibilities hands-on and detail-oriented Robotics and Automation Maintenance Engineer to oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and optimization of our robotic and automated systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring production continuity, improving equipment reliability, and reducing downtime through advanced diagnostics and maintenance strategies. Key Responsibilities Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of automation and robotic systems. Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related faults using advanced diagnostic tools. Interpret and debug PLC programs, HMI logic, robot programs, and automation scripts. Operate and troubleshoot robotic systems via teach pendants and monitor error codes Use tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal analyzers to identify hardware failures. Support installation, commissioning, and integration of new automated machinery and upgrades. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to eliminate repetitive faults. Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for complex repair and firmware diagnostics. Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, especially while working with E-stop systems, light curtains, and interlocks. Required Qualifications Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering. 6-7 years of hands-on experience in maintaining automation and robotic systems in an industrial environment. Proficiency in PLC systems (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi), industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA), and related control platforms. Knowledge of servo drives, vision systems, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus). Strong troubleshooting mindset and analytical ability. Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics and safety loop diagrams. Preferred candidate profile Preferred Skills Basic programming/scripting experience in automation environments. Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, including predictive maintenance tools and SCADA integration. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for managing maintenance schedules
