Position Summary (Underwriting): The Mortgage underwriting Manager must have managed the eligibility of loan applications of residential mortgage (1-4 family) loans. This role requires experience in analyzing and verifying loan applications, review of all 4 Cs, evaluating risks, and making loan eligibility decisions. The incumbent ensures the accurate, efficient, and timely flow of information/documentation for offering quality and efficient services. Responsibilities: Knowledge of mortgage underwriting and Agency automated underwriting systems. Demonstrate a full understanding of agency guidelines as well as posted Lender internal guidelines Experience in full analysis of all types of income (Self/Rental/Wage/etc.), Assets, Liabilities, Credit and Collateral. Experience in managing credit, income, and assets on a loan-by-loan basis to properly assess individual risk, and promptly provide underwriting decisions to Mortgage Originators Experience in managing property documentation including title commitments, sales contracts, insurance, and flood determinations Maintain a well-developed knowledge of loan product guidelines and industry regulations, including assisting in the prevention, detection, and resolution of mortgage fraud Transaction Quality• Drive continuous improvement for Transaction Quality and Delivery• Manage Transaction Quality & Client related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Evaluate effectiveness of transactional quality interventions• Strengthen Quality management processes / framework to improve quality delivery• Accurately capture SLA/SLO metrics, the reporting needs of each of the client and set up / customize processes to seamlessly meet client's expectations • Ability to get out of the box ideas and Process improvement initiatives in the process • Should drive Process control & Compliance in addition to managing Audit SLAs • Provide crisp and specific feedback to Front Line Recruitment Teams on quality of new hires • Provide quality floor support, feedback, refreshers etc. via the teams aligned • Facilitate Quality and Compliance team to perform various audits and follow-ups based on the observations highlighted Essential Skills / Expertise required:- • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified • Effective People Management skills to be able to drive teams across LOBs and/or Geographies • Ability to drive initiatives to closure• Ability to deal with all levels of employees and to provide leadership, direction and motivation to building performing teams • Analytical Skills / Quantitative skills with excellent data handling / data interpretation skills • Excellent Communication skills Both verbal and written to manage client and leadership communication • Needs to have good working knowledge of Transaction Quality systems, tools and technologies • Process Oriented, Planning, Decision making, Data Handling, Ability to prioritize, Ability to meet deadlines • Detail oriented, Strong organizational skills and Presentation skills • Flexible to work in 24X7 environment Qualifications Bachelor's Degree
