Role & responsibilities Our Client is seeking a visionary Head of Digital Product Design to establish and lead our design practice in India. Person will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of UX designers, UI designers, and researchers who will support both their growing client base across Asia and the Middle East, as well as our established creative operations in the United States. This is a critical leadership role for a proven creative leader who can instill design excellence, uphold process rigor, and scale a world-class creative team within a high-paced, engineering-driven organization. Person will act as a cultural ambassador of Client's creative process, coaching your team to deliver pixel-perfect, strategy-led design work right the first time. Leadership & Team Management Build and lead a multidisciplinary product design team in India, spanning UX, UI, and Research Protect the creative process and uphold quality standards across global engagements Act as the design liaison between India-based teams and our global creative leadership Hire and mentor experienced design talent, leveraging your personal network where possible Represent the creative team in cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment with business and delivery goals Training & Process Development Roll out proprietary Creative Discovery and design methodologies to newly onboarded teams Lead training on agile workflows, design systems, tokenization, accessibility, and AI-driven tools Foster a culture of structured feedback, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement Creative & Strategic Execution Direct discovery workshops and drive strategic thinking for complex digital ecosystems Oversee UX/UI delivery across platforms, ensuring alignment with KPIs and user needs Guide research, usability testing, and data-informed iteration cycles Monitor project health and maintain delivery excellence across all phases of execution Operational & Delivery Oversight Collaborate on staffing plans, SOW reviews, and delivery timelines for new projects Establish project frameworks including kickoff decks, folder structures, templates, and governance rituals Support in-flight design execution, sprint planning, and collaboration with offshore dev teams Provide senior-level continuity during transitions, coverage gaps, or resourcing shifts Required Skills: Were looking for a strong operator, a mentor, and a creative defender. If you have a strong personal network of top-tier designers, deep mastery of UX/UI practices, and a passion for scaling design excellencewe want to hear from you. 15+ years of experience in digital product design, with deep knowledge of UX/UI best practices 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing creative teams and delivery Proven success scaling and mentoring large creative teams in a matrixed organization Strong understanding of enterprise-level design systems, research practices, and agile environments Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
