Release Train Engineer

In your role as RTE you will be responsible for the XtraART.. In the Xtra ART we build and maintain an innovative mobile applicationXtra who delivers personalized shopping services.

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you are a servant leader and ART coach who facilitates Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes. You support teams in delivery by communicating with stakeholders, escalating obstacles, managing risks and stimulating continuous improvement.

Although Agile Release Trains consist of self-organizing and self-steering teams, these trains cannot steer themselves. That will be your responsibility as an RTE. As a servant leader, you facilitate delivery.

Your tasks as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) within Colruyt Group IT:

Release Train Engineer

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) you will manage the ART of Xtra.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the Agile Release Train in coordination with multiple dev-ops teams and involved business operations teams.

• Setting up and preparing the product increments

• Facilitating the PI Planning, drawing up the PI objectives and making them transparent within the Agile Release Train

• Facilitating synchronization moments within the Agile Release Train

• Supporting the right arbitrations between cost and business value when estimating features capabilities

• Monitoring and reporting on the delivery of features and capabilities

• Risk management within the Agile Release Train

• Escalating and following up on issues

• Identifying resource needs

• Ensuring optimal collaboration within the Agile Release Train

• Ensuring that demos take place

• Ensuring that there is room for improvement initiatives

• Ensuring that the quality processes are applied

Profile

Knowledge and experience: You have at least 5 years of work experience in IT, preferably in a Ecommerce/Digital context, and a strong affinity with digitalization. You know SAFe (2-3 Years) and have experience with Lean and Agile. Experience in a job as RTE is a must.

Communication skills: You have excellent communication skills and organizational skills. You can manage risks and stimulate continuous improvement.

Coaching skills: You know how to develop teams. You can support them in problem identification and decision-making, but you also ensure a connecting environment.

Analytical: You can divide projects into smaller components without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Language skills: You have an excellent knowledge of English. This allows you to collaborate smoothly with all colleagues and partners.

• You work at the CGI Hyderabad office and can work from home up to 3 days a week.
