Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure our products meet various environmental and safety regulations, including REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, and other applicable requirements. This role involves verifying materials and parts compliance, coordinating with suppliers, maintaining regulatory documentation, and reporting compliance status to management. Role & responsibilities Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, and others. Supplier Engagement: Communicate with suppliers to obtain material composition and compliance documentation. Compliance Verification: Analyze supplier-provided data to confirm regulatory compliance; escalate non-compliant findings to management. Data Management: Store, organize, and maintain compliance records in a structured database or document management system. Reporting: Prepare reports summarizing compliance status, risk assessments, and regulatory updates for internal stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated into the supply chain. Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in compliance laws and regulations, and communicate necessary actions to relevant teams. Compliance Verification & Supplier Management % of Suppliers Providing Complete Compliance Documentation Measures the percentage of suppliers who submit all necessary compliance paperwork. Response Time for Supplier Inquiries Tracks the average time it takes to receive compliance information from suppliers. % of Materials/Parts Found Non-Compliant Highlights the proportion of materials or components that do not meet regulatory standards. Supplier Compliance Rate Percentage of suppliers whose materials consistently meet compliance requirements. Regulatory Reporting & Documentation Accuracy & Completeness of Compliance Records Assesses the level of detail and accuracy in maintained records. Compliance Report Timeliness Tracks whether reports on compliance are delivered on time to management. % of Compliance Data Updates Completed on Schedule Measures adherence Risk Management & Regulatory Updates Number of Compliance Violations Identified Counts instances of non-compliance. Corrective Actions Implemented Measures the number of corrective measures taken in response to compliance issues. Regulatory Change Tracking Score – Measures how effectively regulatory updates are identified and acted upon. Efficiency & Process Improvement Time Spent on Compliance Verification per Supplier – Tracks the efficiency of verification processes. Cost of Compliance Management per Product Line – Determines the financial impact of compliance activities. Number of Automation Tools Used for Compliance Tracking – Evaluates the adoption of technology for efficiency Preferred candidate profile Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, electronics, or a related industry. Certifications related to regulatory compliance or environmental management.
