As a team member at Renaissance Hotels, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools such as the dish washing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. Your duties will include washing and disinfecting kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Additionally, you will receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock to ensure freshness. It will be your responsibility to ensure that clean wares are stored in appropriate areas and use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes. You will be required to inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing. Racking and spraying all items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue, sorting, soaking, and wash/re-wash silverware, and breaking down dirty bus tubs are part of your daily tasks. Proper disposal of trash, including glass and recyclables, and cleaning and mopping all areas in assigned departments will also be part of your routine. Adherence to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures is crucial, including reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager. You will be expected to complete safety training and certifications, protect company assets, and communicate effectively with team members and guests. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others and supporting the team to reach common goals are essential components of your role. You should be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time, and reach overhead and below the knees. Other physical activities may include bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Any other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors should be performed efficiently.
