Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Wireless Connectivity Modem Systems Engineer to be a part of the Engineering Group. As a Qualcomm Wireless Connectivity Modem Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in researching, designing, developing, verifying, validating, and commercializing wireless connectivity modem products or components within products. Your responsibilities will include implementing a multi-RAT wireless connectivity modem based on industry specifications such as Bluetooth, UWB, IEEE 802.15.4, etc. You should possess expertise in wireless connectivity specifications and be able to efficiently implement the shared resources of a multi-RAT modem. Collaboration with other functional groups is essential in developing a cost-effective, high-quality modem that meets industry and customer requirements with high performance and acceptable cost metrics. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a related field is also acceptable. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience in areas such as communication theory, digital signal processing, information theory, channel coding, and probability and random processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, Python, and/or Matlab. As a Wireless Connectivity Modem Systems Engineer, you will leverage advanced modem knowledge and design methodology to execute modem assignments. Functional analysis, system level design, collaboration with teams, and driving triage of system-level problems are among the key responsibilities. The role involves contributing new and innovative ideas for product features, presenting results of testing and debugging, and participating in design reviews and project meetings. The successful candidate is expected to have at least a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience. The level of responsibility includes working under supervision, with decision-making that may impact beyond the immediate work group. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to influence key organizational decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
