Job Description: As a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, you will have the opportunity to work on a US-India joint project under the guidance of Prof. Sandeep Kumar Singh, Prof. Anshul Jaiswal, and Prof. Prem Kumar from Northwestern University, USA. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct research in the field of continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD), quantum-noise-based stream cipher encryption, advanced modulation schemes, and FPGA programming for transmission and reception of classical and quantum optical signals. To be eligible for this role, you should hold an M.E/M. Tech. in Electronics & Communication or equivalent with a CGPA above 7.0 or a percentage greater than 70% aggregate, or a B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication or equivalent with a CGPA above 7.5 or percentage greater than 75% aggregate. Additionally, you must have qualified National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET or GATE. The ideal candidate for this position will have exposure and interest in FPGA Programming, a strong background in Optical/Quantum Communication, and the ability to work with optical equipment such as Laser, PD, etc. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in technical writing and documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Previous research experience and publications in relevant fields would be considered a plus.
