Summary: Job title: Functional/ Azure Containerization Testing Shift timings: Night Shift Experience: 3+ Yrs Experience & Core Competencies: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in functional software testing, with a demonstrated track record in a senior or lead QA role. Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and strong knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices. Proven expertise in manual testing and exploratory testing across web and API-based applications. Technical Skills: Solid experience in API testing, including familiarity with Function Apps and tools like Postman. Strong SQL skills for database validation, test data manipulation, and backend testing. Experience working independently with development teams, driving quality from early stages of development. Exposure to Microsoft Azure, including understanding of cloud-based deployments and environments. Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to mentor junior QA team members, fostering best practices and a culture of quality. Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality goals. Communication & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proactive, self-driven, and passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable software. Qualifications: 3 to 5+ years of experience in software functional testing, with a proven track record of success in a senior role. In-depth understanding of SDLC methodologies and a strong grasp of QA processes. API/Function App knowledge SQL skills to validate results Be able to work independently with the development team Understanding of Azure and containerization would be helpful Expertise in manual and exploratory testing techniques. Familiarity with API testing tools like POSTMAN and web services concepts. Proficiency in SQL for database testing and manipulation. Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platform is a strong plus. Proven ability to lead and mentor junior QA team members. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
