As a QA Engineer at FICO, you will be joining a dynamic and talented Quality Assurance team in a hands-on technical role supporting a diverse suite of applications and services. You will play a crucial part in the expanding software development team, developing cutting-edge analytic software for high-profile customers across various industries using the latest technologies and software development methodologies. Your responsibilities will include developing test plans and strategies that meet functional requirements, user stories, and user acceptance criteria. You will oversee the team and conduct both manual and automated testing, including "black" and "grey" box testing. Your tasks will involve executing application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing for business applications in a client/server environment. Additionally, you will review, author, and maintain flexible and maintainable automated test scripts to support QA automation. You will evaluate testing results, report problems in a tracking system, and communicate product readiness and quality levels to Quality Assurance Management and the project team. Identifying gaps in quality assurance and testing processes, generating solutions, and actively addressing them for continuous improvement will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will participate in release planning and product roll-out activities. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Applications Systems Design, or a related Data Processing field of study, along with at least 7 years of overall experience. Expertise in the software quality assurance industry and a strong understanding of QA processes are essential. You should have excellent testing skills and experience with commercial software development processes, including SaaS or ASP for browser-based applications, client/server applications, and database-driven applications on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. Demonstrable project management experience in delivering multiple testing engagements, proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL skills, ability to develop and implement test automation strategies, exposure to Scrum or other agile development methodologies, proficiency in Core Java, and experience with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, K6, QTEST, JIRA, and Quality Center are desired qualifications. Hands-on experience in building automation frameworks for GUI and API/Webservices, knowledge of Agile methodology and related processes, as well as experience working in Unix and Database environments are also valuable assets. As a Quality Assurance (QA) professional, you should possess a strong knowledge of QA Concepts. You are expected to excel in scenario identification, test case writing, test case execution, bug reporting, and status reporting. It is essential that you have prior experience in testing Web Based Applications and Mobile native apps for both iOS and Android platforms. Your familiarity with test management tools such as QARA, HP QC, MTM, Zephyr, BugZilla, and JIRA will be highly beneficial in this role. You will be actively involved in Requirement Gathering and Understanding, Grooming, Analyzing, and Documenting Project Requirements. Collaboration with team members, Scrum Master, and Product Owner is a key aspect of your responsibilities.
