Python and SQL Data Engineer (ETL) - Consultant - L2

As a Data Engineer/ETL Developer at NTT DATA Business Solutions, you will be responsible for developing and implementing ETL processes using Python and SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse. You will optimize and maintain existing ETL workflows and data pipelines to enhance performance and scalability. Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code while supporting Python version upgrade activities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and quality. You will also be monitoring and troubleshooting data processing systems to guarantee timely and accurate data delivery. Documentation related to ETL processes, data models, and workflows will need to be developed and maintained. Participation in code reviews to provide constructive feedback to team members is also expected. As the ideal candidate, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, along with proven experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer, focusing on Python and SQL. A minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL is required, along with proficiency in programming languages like Python for data engineering tasks. Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or OCI is considered a plus, as well as experience with version control systems like Git. Being familiar with Agile methodology and Agile working environments is advantageous, and the ability to work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Architects is crucial. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies is encouraged to continuously enhance data engineering practices. This position is based in Offshore - India.
